Astro’s Playroom Is The Best The Ps5 Has To Offer

This references Ridge Racer, released on the PS1 in 1994 and developed by Namco. The car being driven is the one of the game’s boxart, the F/A Fiera, also known as the Kamata Fiera. After defeating the stone dragon boss and reaching the start of Mt. Motherboard, look to slot gacor the left to spot two fighters, one victorious over the other. The scene depicts the canon ending of the game, where Kazuya Mishima is victorious over his father Heihachi. About halfway into the level you’ll cross over a DualShock Cable that is then blown by a fan. Use the fan to Beam Glide right to a platform where a Bot with goggles and a small rabbit are standing.

The PS Move controller later made a comeback as the hand tracking method for the PlayStation VR. The colloquially titled “Super Slim” marked the PlayStation 3 as the second PlayStation to receive more than one exterior design revision, after the PSP (which had five). So far the Super Slim is the final PlayStation system to use a top-loading disc drive, with the top sliding to the side so the user can insert the disc. In 2011 Sony released the PSP Street that returned to the original PSP aesthetic, lacking wifi and the microphone, and has only a single speaker.

Artifact 2/2 “DUALSHOCK 2 Controller” – When you reach the rocket ship, stay on the ground level and run to the back of the platform. Knock the pile of colored crates out of the way to find a wire pull, which reveals this artifact. Artifact 1/3 “PSVR Headset”– While jumping to the above puzzle piece, then is a swinging handhold you can grab after. Puzzle Piece 4/4 – After defeating the boss, go halfway across the newly revealed tightrope and look to the right. In a hole in the wall, you can see a spot to shoot, and when you do it reveals a new platform that has this puzzle piece at the end.

The “Project Neo” Trophy is a reference to the codename of the PS4 Pro. The PS4 Pro was a more powerful model of the original PlayStation 4 launched in 2016. It has an additional 2.3 teraflops of power, which allows it to render games at close to 4K resolutions, or in HD with better performance. This section only lists games whose only easter eggs were in the Trophy list.

Every bit of platforming presents almost no challenge, and so do the enemies. With rotating platforms, ones that disappear shortly after stepping on them, and lightning platforms that can take out Astro in one hit. Astro’s Playroom lets you control Astro on a 3D platforming adventure across 4 different components of the PlayStation 5. You can go through Memory Meadow, a cloudy realm of wind and storms. Or visit the Cooling Springs, featuring a beach party setting and a surprise ice level later.

It takes you through the vibration, adaptive triggers, touchpad, motion sensor and microphone. But once you do dive in, there’s no shortage of joy that comes from how Team Asobi has translated in-game surfaces, objects, and movement into different DualSense sensations. We know you’ve just got your brand new PS5 console and you’re probably excited to experience all that it has to offer. That said, we really recommend you don’t rush through Astro’s Playroom, as it’s an experience that deserves to be savoured.

Artifact 1/2 “DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller” – Continue left out onto the small island, defeat the three enemies then pull up the wires to find this artifact. Puzzle Piece 4/4 – Keep climbing and after going off two bounce pads you’ll be at the very top of the plaza, where you can find this puzzle piece. There is a built-in progress tracker on PS5 trophies so you can easily keep track how many you found already. The follow-up to the original PS VR uses headset-mounted cameras rather than lights, and has a vibration motor. The interior display is four times the resolution of the original, and 3D audio adjusts with your head position.

These segments are relatively short-lived but do a good job of shaking up the formula so the running and jumping doesn’t get too stale too quickly. It’s a wonderful celebration of PlayStation’s history but the absolute best moment is the final boss battle which is so perfectly handled we almost died of nostalgia playing it. Puzzle Piece 4/4 – Once you reach the section of the level where it is raining, before going up the dark wall, jump to the platform on the right to reach this puzzle piece. Artifact 2/2 “EyeToy Camera” – At the next checkpoint you can obtain the machine gun, which allows you to shoot through glass walls. Take the machine gun back to where puzzle piece 3 was, where you might have noticed a box with a wire pull in it.

Puzzle Piece 2/4 – After reaching the first wire pull while going up the wall, jump up off the left side of the tilting platform to reach this puzzle piece. Some players would describe this project as a tech demo for the PlayStation 5, and while it won’t be false, Astro’s Playroom is more than that. The game is broken down into multiple levels, and each one stands out in its unique way. Alongside releasing the four special bots and a new launch trailer for Astro Bot, Sony has announced a “special celebration countdown” for the game in Astro’s Playroom.

The “Hell Diver” Trophy, awarded for jumping off the tallest diving board at the end of Bot Beach. This references 2015’s Hell Divers, developed by Arrowhead Game Studios for the PS4, PS4 and PS Vita. The name of the Trophy is very similar to the game’s hardest difficulty, “Hell Dive”. In the Labo Room will be three Bots cheering on another Bot using a dance mat. This references Dance Dance Revolution, a popular arcade game developed by Konami that was ported to the PS1 in 1999 exclusively in Japan.

It’s not bloatware that permanently takes up precious space on the PS5’s relatively small SSD. But even with the Platinum in hand (my first PS5 Plat), I’ve decided to keep it around as a brilliant showcase of what the PS5 and DualSense can do. It only takes up about 10GB of SSD space, and I’ll probably cull it somewhere down the line as examples of the PS5 tech evolve and improve, but it’s a solid enough experience that I’d be willing to pay for it. The fact that it’s a pack-in pre-installed on every PS5 and will most likely be the first thing everyone plays while they wait for their first games to download and install is a pretty amazing bonus. It strikes that fine balance between serving its purpose as a pre-installed pack-in for new PS5 owners to cut their teeth on, and actually being genuinely fun and entertaining.

Game Details

You’ll see a bot holding a camera throughout the levels as they record their companions as fellow PlayStation characters. For example, you’ll see bots dressed up as Kratos and Atreus from God of War trying to row a boat. You’ll even see a bot dressed up as Snake from Metal Gear Solid, and when you kick the box, it makes the classic alert sound each time you kick. Sony boldly chose Astro Bot to lead the PlayStation 5 with the tech demo Astro’s Playroom. This came pre-installed with every PlayStation 5 console to show the power of the PS5 and DualSense controller.

First go to the right side of the beach, you will find the first starfish underneath the bridge with the fishing Bots. The second starfish is on the left side of the beach near Kratos’s boat. The third starfish is beside a tree in the middle of the beach next to a similarly colored shell. And the final starfish is in the far left corner of the beach beside the building’s wall. The four VIP Bots in Astro’s Playroom are secret bots hidden throughout the game, with one in each of the four worlds.

Those who hop into Astro’s Playroom today will be met with a message that a “mysterious portal” has opened up in the center of the game’s collectible hub, the PS LABO. It also teases that a selection of gatchas, or collectibles that can be earned via an in-game arcade machine, have been added, too.

Final Fantasy Vii

I handed the controller to my sister asking her to do the area for me, with the expectation this would be a one-off. Or at least some more replayable sections for things I actually enjoyed. Without spoiling anything, Astro’s Playroom essentially takes place inside the inner workings of a PS5 console.
